A Message From Deb Dupnik, NCH Executive Director
Hi everyone and welcome to the April 2019 issue of the Homeopathic Report!
As usual, this issue is packed with valuable information about NCH and the homeopathic community. I want to draw your attention to the World Homeopathy Awareness Day events taking place next week and the amazing video we received from Chelsi Williamson about why she loves homeopathy! Share your passion with our community! Please send us your video, and we will post it to our social media pages for all to enjoy.
As a reminder, NCH is trying to be respectful of our environment and is cutting back on the number of paper mailings, so we no longer send out paper renewal reminders. Everything can be done online by visiting our website. If you wish to send in a check, you can still do this or you can combine your renewal payment with your donation to one of the appeal letters that we still do mail out.

Share your voice with the homeopathic community!
Whether you’re an experienced homeopathic professional or a relatively new home user, you most likely have some success stories, interesting cases, or unique observations to share. We are looking for articles about homeopathy to be included in a future issue of Homeopathy Today, the most widely-read homeopathy magazine in the US.
Send us your personal success stories, articles, cases, letters, book reviews, clinical observations, news items, interviews or other content our readers would enjoy.

How has homeopathy changed your life?

It may be an overused phrase, but it rings so true - homeopathy gave me my life back. Shortly after I began studying homeopathy, I began a journey of healing chronic Lyme disease; to this day I am symptom free, and it's thanks exclusively to homeopathy and perhaps my stubborn faith that homeopathy could address every symptom I was facing. My healing journey refined my homeopathic skill set and gave me insight and understanding to support others who may have even more complex health concerns than I did.

New Online Resource You Won't Want to Miss
Why Homeopathy Matters in America: Compendium of Homeopathic Research is a new online resource available to the homeopathy community from Americans for Homeopathy Choice. Written by practicing US homeopaths, the compendium contains 18 original papers on major topics in homeopathy, such as use, safety, cost-effectiveness, and its role in reducing over-medication with conventional drugs. Effective clinical use of homeopathy is shown for ailments of skin, heart, respiratory, eye, gastro-intestinal systems and in allergies, mental health, women’s health, and dentistry. Homeopathy for animals is also included. Papers on other relevant topics will be added periodically.
The Compendium, dedicated to the late Dr. Peter Fisher, homeopath and researcher extraordinaire, is available for download from the AFHC website. A bonus is Dr. Fisher’s paper, Why Homeopathy Matters in US to Healthcare. The Compendium is good reading for all and will reassure practitioners and the public that strong evidence exists to support the effectiveness of homeopathy. It also will be useful in advocacy and legislative affairs work.
Chronic Primary Insomnia
Researchers from South Africa’s Durban University of Technology focused on determining the effects of constitutional homeopathic treatment for insomnia, when compared to a placebo control. Thirty subjects diagnosed with primary insomnia were randomly assigned to homeopathy or placebo. An analysis of the outcomes showed that sleep duration and sleep quality improved significantly under homeopathic treatment, when compared to those in the placebo control group.

National Health Freedom Action - Safe Harbor Laws
“From tiny acorns great oak trees grow,” so the saying goes, and when it comes to health freedom in America, that’s exactly what National Health Freedom Coalition (NHFC), and its sister lobbying organization, National Health Freedom Action (NHFA), are doing.
NHFC educates citizens about health freedom rights, teaches citizens how to participate in the law-making process, and helps organize health freedom groups in states. NHFA lobbies and advocates and is helping other groups introduce and pass safe harbor practitioner exemption legislation.
